September 14, 2009- This week, Bras For The Cause Iowa kicks off it’s 3^rd annual fundraising campaign. The Bras For The Cause Artist reception and gallery will help in our effort to raise money and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. Specifically, Bras For The Cause Iowa helps the uninsured and underinsured pay for mammograms and cervical screenings. In our effort to raise money to pay for these important and life saving screenings, Bras For The Cause is hosting a series of fundraisers starting this week.

By invitation only. Bra artworks for Bras for the Cause Gala 2009 will be on display. If you sponsored this event or if you are an artist who created a bra, this is your night to munch on hors d’oeuvres (with your one guest) while you celebrate and delight in everyone else’s creations. Artists and sponsors will vote for their top choices. Winning bras will be announced at the Gallery of Bras and may be featured in the 2010 Bras for the Cause calendar

Bras for the Cause Iowa is dedicated to the improvement of the health of Iowans, with a primary focus on  breast cancer. Specifically, Bras for the Cause Iowa provides funding for various programs to ensure that Iowans who are either uninsured or underinsured have access to proven screening mechanisms, such as mammograms and cervical screenings; provides grants for related projects; and supports research for a cure for breast and other cancers.
